Amidst con-prep and other personal panics (one more keychain character to color, then it's all Dollfie clothes all the time! @_@), I felt the urge to finally draw my old Yuugiou Mary Sue. Yes, she's totally a Mary Sue (even if she scored 0.07% on the Unofficial Yuugiou Mary Sue Limitus Test--I paired her with way too many characters in the cast for her not to be one XD). But she's my cute Mary Sue who, honestly, I would love to one day make a separate comic about so she won't be one. XD
I realized, while drawing her, that I don't draw standard shoujo Anime eyes anymore. Even these aren't like. The big bubbly things I used to draw and idolize. They slant upward a little and somehow don't look as innocent as I used to draw T_T; But I guess that's because I'm an old fart, haha. Wanted to try making lips that were clearly there without going all "YAY LIPSTICK" on them. I think it worked--the lineart makes it more subtle. XD; Time: Few hours inking, just about two hours coloring. So maybe four total--and that's at a stretch. @_@ Materials: Inked with Copic Multiliners, colored in Photoshop CS3 |
